• Secretary, volley ball sub-committee 2008-09.
• Captain of freshers volley ball tournament and secured first positio.
• Inter Hall volleyball captain of 1st year.
• Inter IIT volley ball player from 1st year.
• Inter Hall cricket player in 1st yr, silver medalist in 2nd year.
• Gold medal in Open IIT volley ball 2008.
• Inter Hall athletics member in 2nd year.
• Inter Hall gold winning volleyball member in 2nd year.
  

Proposals:
1) Expansion of SHAURYA

Purpose:-
· To make Shaurya one of the most popular sports meets.
· To introduce girls events to facilitate the participation of both sexes.
· To introduce special events and workshop for kharagpur students.

Features:
1) Introduction of the girl’s event in the following games:
· Basketball
· Badminton
· Table Tennis
2) Workshop on Roller Skating.
3) Workshop on Archery


2) Formation of Adventure Sports Club

Purpose:-
· To provide an opportunity to the students of the institute to chance upon various adventure, sport like trekking, rock climbing, etc.

Features: -
This club will be formed in lines with the existing club at IIT Kanpur.



3) Publication of a monthly sports newsletter.

· Fixtures of sports event (Open IIT, Inter hall of upcoming month).
· Regular gymkhana updates like sub-com meeting and Gymkhana proposals.
· Regular interviews with sports office bearers of Gymkhana and Inter-IIT and Inter hall captains.
· Regular article of leading sports person of Kharagpur.
· Other features like cartoons, humorous sports article related to international sports.
